LATE SEASON FISH, SOUTH NETS OPEN

It’s late in the season and the Lahontan cutties are headed into colder water, but nice fish are still being landed if you are willing to put in the work. Grant, Evan, and Jack went out this weekend after College finals and landed some nice beauties.

South Nets is now open, Washout and Monument are still closed. Get out there while you can- we thank you all for a great season. See you in Fall, enjoy your Summer everyone! We hope to see you at the Green River Utah in the meantime…..🎣

80 DEGREE WEATHER- GOOD FISHING

This week brought some very nice weather on Pyramid Lake. We had a few days around 80 degrees, with water temps being reported at around 60. Such nice weather typically hinders the fishing on the alkaline lake, but if you put in the time expect to land a few. Devoted angler Tawni Capurro landed several fish over the week including this nice chromed out Pilot Peak. Lookin’ good Tawni- you go girl!

15 lbs. on Popcorn Beetle

Bo Johnson of Salt Lake City, UT landed this nice 15 lb. fish just off of North Nets, Pyramid Lake, NV. It bit on Doug Ouellette’s Original Popcorn Beetle, with a Cheeky Reel. They waded out a few feet off of shore around 2 pm and by sundown had this fish on the line. The bite seems to really spark up right around dusk. Try this popcorn beetle, or a balanced leech.  bo

Early Season Fishing Report

Guide Doug Ouellette of Pyramid Lake Guide Service reports some nice BIG fish during the first few days of the season. The fish are reported to be deep, so float tubes and heavy sinking line are helpful. Read more about Doug’s 20 pounders here. We’re looking forward to more monster Lahontans on Pyramid this winter season!
