LAKE FISHING TURNS ON

Water temps have dropped and the shore fishing has turned on. December should be good!

Angler Curt Peterson sent us some great pics of his pontoon trip from last weekend.

MARCH FISHING 2018

The spawn is in full swing, and the numbers have been sporadic, but with storms come good numbers and also nice size fish.

In early March Brian landed this 20-pounder! We’ve had great clients throughout the month, stay tuned for more pics!¬†20 lbs

23LBS TO THE NET!

We always have a great time with the Boise Boys out from Boise Valley fly Fishers. Our first day out on the water Austin landed a nice 14 pounder! The head and tail on that thing were MASSIVE.

Austin, 14 lbs

The next morning, Bert’s first cast resulted in a 23 pound lahontan cutthroat trout! It wasn’t too much trouble getting it in, and after subtracting the weight of the net it was exactly 23 lbs. The rest of the day was slow fishing, oddly enough. Sunday was also a bit slow. Welcome to the 20 pound Club Bert!

STORM MOVING IN

The weather reports are calling for rain Tuesday of this week, with a larger colder storm moving in on Thursday. The forecast says to expect wind, rain, and snow, which typically means great fishing on Pyramid Lake Nevada. Let’s bundle up and get out there!¬†Storm and waves on Pyramid

FISHING IN THE NEW YEAR

Welcome to January Anglers! The start of the new year has been relatively slow for fishing on Pyramid Lake Nevada. The temperatures have been warm and the weather has been mild, quite unusual for this time of year, but big fish are still being landed to those that are devoted to putting in the hours.

Grant Jackson landed this nice one yesterday from shore, and a storm has moved in today- reports have been good so far!Grant

BIG LAHONTAN CUTTHROAT

This big Lahontan Cutthroat Trout weighed in at 15 pounds after subtracting the net. Dave reeled this monster in and was using a Popcorn Beetle. Nice Cuttie Dave!

WARM WEATHER LATE OCTOBER

The temperatures have been around 70 making the fishing on Pyramid Lake a bit slow. Shore fishing is going well during early morning and evening bites. With this warmer weather a boat or float tube during mid day hours are helpful in getting anglers to deeper and colder water where the fish are cruising. We’ve been Landing fish on the popcorn beetle and white Clouser. Let’s hope for some storms coming in and colder weather soon!
