If you are new to fishing Pyramid Lake Nevada for the world’s largest cutthroat trout you might not be aware of the season dates. We’ve had a lot requests lately to book before the season opener so we thought a notification would be helpful. The season for fishing for non-tribal members is Oct. 1-June 30. Please read all Tribal regulations for further guidance.

More mild weather and good fishing! January is one of the most underrated months to fish Pyramid. The water temps can make the fishing inconsistent, but this year has been good so far, we even landed another 20 lber! Get out there ~
We’ve had a mild winter on Pyramid Lake Nevada, which often means not great fishing, but not this season! The fishing has been good, with not too bad of crowds- weekends are busier.
Pyramid Lake Lodge is booking accommodations just a few weeks out, so if you are calling in for rooms with no luck keep trying. The store is open and they are doing takeout food.
This beast was fun to catch! The lake is fishing well, lots of bigs coming into shore.

Last week Gary and Jerry landed a whole bunch of hogs on the Zig Jig! Another client, Peter has been regularly Landing them on the jig as well! The fishing is great right now, get out there.
Despite high pressure, and a recent full moon the fishing has been good! John out of Temecula CA landed 6 cutthroat today out on Pyramid Lake Nevada, including this nice Pilot Peak!
With water temps dropping the big fish have moved into the shoreline, which is a bit earlier than usual. Shore fishing should be good until the temps hit the low 40’s. Get out there!
The time is almost upon us! Just 6 weeks away! The opener on October 1 is usually busy on the lake, and the fishing is decent. The water temps are still warm but float tubers and boaters tend to do well. Bait balls can usually be seen at this time. We usually watch for the lake to turn over and the water temps to drop, which allows the shore fishing to get really good just after Thanksgiving. We have partnered with a couple of boat guides, and a float tube guide as well. So if you are going to be out for the opener and need a vessel with a guide let us know!
