DECEMBER WAS GREAT!
We’ve had a mild winter on Pyramid Lake Nevada, which often means not great fishing, but not this season! The fishing has been good, with not too bad of crowds- weekends are busier.
Pyramid Lake Lodge is booking accommodations just a few weeks out, so if you are calling in for rooms with no luck keep trying. The store is open and they are doing takeout food.
MARCH PRIME TIME
We are in the height of peak season on Pyramid! The fishing is great, even on bluebird days. Greg and Andy were able to hit a storm last weekend and reel in over 80 fish in just 3 days, including some Big Boys in the teens! We’ve had some dates open up in March so if you’ve been looking now is the time! Early April is a great time to fish Pyramid from shore as well.

FEBRUARY FISHING
The weather on the lake has been all over the place, but the good fishing has remained consistent . We will start to see some pre-spawn action with more fish in the shallows soon. Despite popular belief, the recent full moon did not seem to affect the fishing at all. It appears that storms and barometric pressure have more of an effect on the lake fishing than lunar cycles do. We are headed into prime indicator fishing….
We had several happy clients last week!
NICE WEATHER=SLOWER FISHING, BUT BIG FISH
SEASON OPEN!
The season is now open on Pyramid Lake, Nevada. Reports are limited, but some boat anglers have been able to locate some Lahontans. Early storms and lower temps might mean a cold season, which is a good thing!

SPRING FISHING IS LOOKING GOOD!
FISHING DECEMBER 2018 ON PYRAMID LAKE NV
The air temperatures are finally dropping, so we are hoping that means the water temps will drop as well. The fishing throughout November was relatively slow although some big ones were landed in the area.
We’ve had a great time the last few days with Dave McDonald out from Dutch John Utah and Craig Vares out from Chico California. These guys are serious anglers and are more than willing to brave the cold temps and put in the hours. They’ve landed some nice Lahontan Cutties so far!
